*Alternatively to a blender, a hand blender can also be used. However, care should be taken that the chimichurri does not become a paste but retains some structure. If you do not have either of these devices at home, you can also use a sharp knife to chop the ingredients very finely or use a mortar as in the original recipe. To fully develop its flavor, the chimichurri should steep in the refrigerator for at least a day. The longer the chimichurri can steep, the more flavorful it will become. In a sealed jar, the chimichurri can be stored in the refrigerator for several weeks without any problems. It is important that the paste is completely covered with olive oil; otherwise, it could mold.
