Potato Tortilla from the Omnia Oven

For the Tortilla

• 500g potato(waxy or mainly waxy potatoes)
• 1 onion
• 6 eggs
• 1 tbsp olive oil
• 0.5 tsp thyme
• 1 Pinch salt
• 1 Pinch pepper

Optional/ Topping

• 0 Chimichurri

Preparation

1. Peel 1whole potato and slice them raw into approximately 5 mm thick slices.

2. Heat the olive oil in a large pan.

3. Fry the potato in batches until they get a few crisp spots. Then place them in the Omnia (with silicone mold).

4. Peel onion and cut it into rings. Sauté with potato.

5. Whisk egg well in a bowl. Season with salt and pepper.

6. Pour 1u egg over the potatoes and put the lid on.

Baking in the Omnia Oven

1. Bake the Omnia over medium heat for about 25–30 minutes, until the tortilla is firm and the surface starts to turn lightly golden brown.

2. Let it cool for about 5 minutes before cutting so that the tortilla comes out of the mold more easily.

Serving

1. Turn the tortilla out of the Omnia oven or serve directly from the mold.

2. Serve optionally with Chimichurri, Sriracha, or Tzatziki.
